BeyondSchool and BeyondGenerations are made by Oakera LLC, doing business as Beyond. One Beyond account signs you in to both apps, on iPhone and Android, and to the website, so deleting it ends your sign-in everywhere.
Three ways to ask
In the app
In BeyondSchool or BeyondGenerations, on iPhone or Android, tap More (⋯) at the top right, then Settings → Account security → Delete account.
On the website
Sign in at beyondschool.app, then go to Settings → Account security → Delete account.
By email
Write to [email protected] from the address you sign in with, with “Delete my account” as the subject. We’ll reply to confirm it’s you, then delete it.
What happens
- If you own your family, choose another adult in your family to take it over. When they accept, within 14 days, your account is deleted. Or delete your family and everything in it: right away, or after 14 days when others are signed in to it, so they can save what they want to keep.
- If someone else owns your family, your sign-in is deleted right away. Your profile and what you added stay with your family, since they’re part of its records. To have them removed, ask your family’s owner or write to us.
What’s deleted, and what we keep
Deleted information is generally removed from our active systems within 30 days, and from our backups within 90 days. We keep a few records longer, as our Privacy Policy explains:
- which legal documents you accepted, with a hashed (one-way coded) copy of your email address;
- sign-in, security, and diagnostic logs, for up to 12 months;
- your messages to support, for up to 3 years after they’re resolved;
- if you connected Google Calendar, a record of that connection, for 12 months after it ends;
- records of a parent’s notice and consent for a child’s profile, for up to 3 years after the profile ends;
- photos and details Autofill sent to its provider, OpenAI, which keeps them for up to 30 days to detect misuse, then deletes them; and
- anything the law requires us to keep, or that we need to look into a security problem or settle a dispute.
Deleting some things, not your account
You can delete a work sample, portfolio, plan, goal, family event, memory, journal entry, Future Letter, or learning profile in the apps or on the website, when your family role allows it. Or write to [email protected], and we’ll help.
Our Privacy Policy has the details.
